Salting your sidewalks, deadly to plants.

Hey folks, ice is deadly to people, and salt is deadly to plants, so what's the solution? Sand!
If you are killing your turf or plants every year, sidewalk salt could be your problem. As you shovel during the season, the salt you threw down gets spread around and kills neighboring plants. There are some plants that are tolerant, like daylilies, and some of the following: heuchera's, native grasses, roses and hostas. When you are ready to re-plant this spring, stop out to see our huge selection of daylilies, the perfect edging plant for all seasons. We have about 130 varieties. I know spring seems like a long way off, but I am less than 2 months away from starting transplants! What? Where is that long winters nap?
