Monarda, Raspberry Wine
What a gorgeous flower is this! Monarda is also called beebalm. Monarda is related to mints. Mints and their relatives all have square stems vs. round stems. Most Monarda prefer full sun, but will tolerate some shade. This plant is resistant to powdery mildew, a problem with many monarda's. This gem will grow to 30" tall and will bloom from early summer till early fall. Loved by bees and hummingbirds. I will have these in 6" square pots this spring when we open. Very pretty. Remember, turn your garden from the 'hodge podge' look to that of a pro...plant in old number groups, 3-5-7. So buy 3 of anything! Don't worry I won't badger you if you only get one! =)
