Now this is a composter! Dual action for the more than average gardener. This type is the best in my book for all my gardening friends who refuse to burn or destroy all the diseased plant material from their gardens. At least in a composter like this, the poision is somewhat secured, and the design makes it more likely that it will actually decompose and heated enough to destroy the bad stuff. (assuming you turn the crank to mix it up) An open pile is okay for grass clippings, leaves, kitchen scraps and coffee grounds, you know, things without thousands of insect eggs & viruses.
