This week we moved in 8 BIG apple trees, 7 different kinds. Above is the first tree arriving, you may need to double click on it. So watering them like crazy hoping they survive the move, and little less wind would help from drying the leaves out! So I thought....How am I going to keep track of who is who. Of course I'll make a map, copy it and put it in 3 places and not remember one of them. So instead I came up with a poem! You know you want to hear it! "The 'Red Baron' sat by the 'Fireside' and told 'McIntosh' and 'Haralson' that 'Mr. Greening' has 2 'Honeys' in Courtland." Greening is actually Northwest Greening, and the Honeys are Honeygold.
NO, we do not live next door. Our poor farm neighbors have had more than one customer stop at their place. One lady I guess was just irate that I wasn't open and that THEY lived there and not me. What a hoot! There was about 3 inches of mud in the field that day, sorry, can't control the weather!
We are open today from 10-6, still have all the veg and plants sale on. We will also be open in the field from 8-12 Sat., and at the Mankato Farmers Market 8-12.
