All rightly then, got 2 transplanters

Thanks Cindy & Dawn, see you in the shop on Thursday. Still spots open no waiting!

Transplanting Anyone?

Have you always wondered, hmmm...where could I get some 'hands on' experience potting up transplants? Here of course! This time of year is always swamped with work, everything needs to get done now. So yes, I could use some help if you are looking for some experience. I show you what to do and you are on your own, not a day long 'class' or anything! The coffee pot and radio are both on! Give me a call 507-382-9337.

The wall moveth

If you drove by the field and thought....hmmm.....didn't she have on her blog that the wall fell down? It did. Then the wind blew it back up, then down, then up - maybe to stay? Not sure the future of this house, maybe converting to a shade house, and constructing a new hoop. Like the seasons, my plans are always changing.

Is it really May?

This weather is unreal. Last year, it was warm and sunny. So today, with the plastic off the 100 x 30 ft. hoop (that used to hold the heat in) it was very cold, just like outdoors! =) Fearing frost,
I covered the young plots of lettuce/spinach/radish etc with fabric, covered some plants with straw, and some potted ones rode home with me. So while I was throwing straw on plants in the cold, thinking, isn't this a 'fall' job, I was amusing myself thinking about a poem to write. Yes, cheesy, simple, rhymey...

Who was it that said that farming was fun
working till late & yet up with the sun.
It's a passion, a craziness that few understand,
the draw to sweat & work the land.
Stretches of days of rain and cold,
takes out the fun, and it gets old.
I'll keep pushing & do it my way,
there's much to do yet before Sunday.

Thanks for joining Stevie, hope you enjoy my ramblings!
