Also, watermelon, cantaloupe, peppers, potatoes, tomatoes, maybe raspberries and our gorgeous bouquets! Stop by and get some, first hard frost.....and we are done for the year!

Dried Floral Class

Class is Tuesday, Sept. 21 from 6:30-8:30. Sign up now, minimum of 4 people registered needed to run the class. We will be making swags, wreaths or a vase arrangement. Call the St. Peter Community Center to register 507-934-3048 ext. 238. Class is 2 hours long and costs $28.
I will spend 1+ hrs. demonstrating several arrangments, then help you with the hands on assembling of your own. You will make at least one large and 1 small floral to take home.

Rain Again? In 2 days?

Gonna be muddy today working the iris. YOU should have stopped working your iris by now if you want bloom next year. We are still tweeking our larger groups as if a few of them don't bloom, no big deal, we have lots. Only 3 more orders left to get picked up yet by customers.
May not get the raspberries picked till later today, so the afternoon customers will be happy, they are usually gone by the time they get here!

Rain and cooler temps., & SQUASH!!!

A relief from hot days, and a day off from watering! Kinda looking forward to the sweatshirt weather after this brutal summer. Three more days to pick up the iris you ordered or we are re-planting them. Poor things all shriveled up from sitting in a bag since July! That's heartache for a grower!

We are now picking acorn squash, and they are great! It is September tomorrow, so it's not to early for you seasonal eaters. I know I am a seasonal eater. Hard to get excited about strawberries in October, or squash in May, but acorn squash in Sept. is right on!!!
Raspberries are coming in heavier now, but still hard to keep them on the table they sell out right away. We will be selling at the field until hard frost wipes us out...whenever that will be.
Looking forward to one whole day off with nothing to do! (okay, those of you who really know me are saying 'that's a lie,' and you are right!) It's a curse I tell you....work-work-work. =)
