My heartfelt thanks to all of our customers for making Earthworks Gardens first year a success! It was an enjoyable year working the fields, getting to know our customers and finding out what plants & products you are interested in. What's up for next year? Lots of changes! We are putting the plastic on our hoop house this fall. We are also moving our driveway down to the location where the hoophouse is. We will be also putting up some type of more permanent structure or building for sales. I would love an area to sell my bouquets in that is not windy! We will be graveling the new drive area, so no more closing due to muddy conditions! (no more days off for me) Our new driveway will be safer not being on that crazy hairpin corner. We will have a larger selection of perennials, some annuals and vegetable plants next year, and 200 more varieties of iris! Our friends Val and Joe from 'Val's Yard 'n Garden' from LeCenter plan to join us in the spring selling their beautiful flowering annuals, containers and baskets. So put that in your 'remember this file!' I will continue to add entries all winter, photos, garden tips etc., so keep me book marked. I will be advertising for my garden classes in Jan. or Feb. and they will likely be held starting late Feb. I know that is early.....but last year I was really pressed to instruct classes and work the farm.
I am hoping to get in a few more radio spots w/ Miss Lona and Jackie this winter too! I'll let you know so you can listen in.
Thank you so much!
Diane

Brrrrrrrrrr.
It is cold outside! We will be open in the field Tues -Fri from 12-6, weather permitting. It looks like rain for the end of the week, so try to get your peonies asap. We will be at the MF Market Saturday, rain or shine so you can get them there for sure from 8-12. That will be our last selling day of the year. We may have a serve yourself wagon in the field w/pumpkins and squash on it thru part of October. As long as I have flowers to cut, I will still be making bouquets for the St. Peter Food Co-op. It's winding down.........
