The melons cometh.
Finally... normally by now the taste of farm grown melons are but a memory. But in this weird weather summer, the melons are just ripening. So August weather in Sept., hmmm and still no rain. I wish I could close for a rain day, it is soooooo dry. Besides cantalope and watermelon, we have lots of tomatoes. Come pick your own for $20 a bag for canning or whatever. A bag (we provide) holds 20-25#. This price only good on at least $20 worth. I have several varieties of peonies at our farm market. If you have been called to pick yours up, check out our days and hours on right side bar.
Deb, we have your 'Lucky' dug for Saturday.....I know it is going to a good home. It's kinda fun to think how your plants are scattered throughout the gardens of others.

Floral Design Class was Petalicious
Becky shown with the tiny bouquet of salvia, snaps & zinnia.
Diane working on the 'behemouth' size, my favorite type of work. Love the cascading 'green tassels' Amaranth.
Jackie loved this one, great fall colors.
Jackie posted this as 'looking for serenity' in her bouquet. As long as it wasn't those pesky insects! For more photos check out the floral design link at the right. Look for a spring class designing with the peonies and iris......is winter over yet?
BIG THANKS to all who participated in class, hope you enjoyed it, your bouquets were gorgeous, (after your intense training, of course!)
